New pool, fitness center, playground, trails and gathering spaces expand the lifestyle experience at the Waller master-planned community.

HOUSTON, TX, UNITED STATES, September 9, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Oakberry Trails has officially opened its new recreation center and a collection of community amenities designed to give residents more ways to gather, stay active and enjoy the outdoors.

The new recreation center serves as a central gathering place for the growing master-planned community. Residents can now enjoy a multipurpose swimming pool with a splash pad, fitness center, party room, children’s playground, lounge seating, a fire pit and an event lawn. Paved trails and a community garden add even more opportunities to spend time outdoors and connect with neighbors.

The opening marks another major milestone for Oakberry Trails as the community continues to grow along the U.S. 290 corridor in Waller. The amenities are designed to complement the community’s small-town setting while offering the recreation and gathering spaces today’s homebuyers are looking for.

“From the beginning, we wanted Oakberry Trails to feel different,” said Nour Barazi of Ryko Development. “We saw an opportunity to create a unique community centered around the outdoors and quality of life, a place where people can get outside, spend time with their families and connect with their neighbors. These new amenities are a big part of that vision, and there’s more still to come.”

Oakberry Trails is continuing to expand its outdoor recreation offerings, with additional amenities already underway. Plans include the repurposing of an existing barn and outdoor spaces overlooking the lake. The area is expected to feature lawn games, grilling areas, relaxed seating and space for community events, giving residents another distinctive place to gather with family, friends and neighbors.

Visitors to Oakberry Trails can explore the community’s model home park, featuring six model homes from Risewell Homes, Village Builders and K. Hovnanian Homes. The collection gives prospective homebuyers the opportunity to tour a range of floor plans, styles and home designs while experiencing the community’s new amenities firsthand.

Located in Waller, Oakberry Trails combines small-town Texas character with new homes, modern amenities and convenient access to U.S. 290 and the greater Houston area. With model homes and move-in-ready homes available, prospective buyers can now experience both the homes and the growing lifestyle taking shape throughout the community.
